Gannets can dive from a height of 100ft, achieving speeds of 65mph as they strike the water, enabling them to catch fish much deeper than most airborne birds. This is a juvenile we found on the #beach and put him back in the water. Sometimes their legs turn to jello and they need help, other wise this guy would have probably been ran over! #bird (Taken with Instagram at Hatteras Road)
